TRAINING - IT'S NOT JUST FOR THE DOG Read More

When it comes to dog training, it's not just about the dog. It's about the relationship, communication, and consistency between humans and their dogs. Remember that training is an ongoing process that requires patience, understanding, and a willingness to learn and adapt.  I would often say to my training pupils that how well trained your dog is, is a reflection of your ability to communicate with a different species.  Dogs don't speak English (or any other human language).  They need to be taught to associate different words with different behaviors.   This will require you to think about what it is that you want to teach, how you will break down the steps, how you will keep your dog's attitude positive etc.  You will learn many skills and concepts of behavior through training your dog.

By investing time and effort into the human side of canine education, you're not only shaping a well-behaved dog but also nurturing a deep, fulfilling, and trusting bond between you & your dog.
